Aialik Bay | Kenai Fjords National Park
Over half the landmass of Kenai Fjords National Park is covered in ice. Aialik Bay is home to two of the parks tidewater glaciers.

Aialik Glacier is the tidewater glacier that sits at the head of Aialik Bay. For reference, the face of this glacier is 1.5 miles wide and it travels 3.5 miles from the Harding Icefield to the water.
Back from Aialik Bay, this glacier travels for 3.5 miles.
Look close for the little black specks on the icebergs. Those are harbor seals!

Sleepy harbor seal resting on an iceberg. They do that so they don’t have to move with the tides, they’ll just float with the changing levels, plus it gets them out of the water away from predators like the killer whale.
