Hey, I’m Lindsay
I grew up in Iowa, or as you may know it, one of the flyover states. As I got older I knew I wanted to explore a bit further, so I went to college in Florida. The palm trees and warm breeze were exactly my kind of style. But then I met my husband, and he decided to join the military.
Suddenly, we found ourselves living in the Last Frontier. Alaska sounded cold and dark. What was this beach soul going to do? I was going to make the best of it. I found a once-in-a-lifetime job that got me off the couch and took me from the farthest fjords in Kenai Fjords National Park, to the end of the road in Denali National Park.
My main purpose with this blog is to inspire other couch potatoes to get out and explore! Adventure doesn’t have to be 5-day backpacking trips, although props if that’s your style! Adventure can simply be a 20-minute drive down a scenic road, a 2-hour hike, a leisurely afternoon at the beach. Whatever your pace is, get out and find your adventure.
“Adventure isn’t hanging off a rope on the side of a mountain. Adventure is an attitude we must apply to the day to day obstacles of life.”
